Wings of Deception explores the tension between beauty and something darker beneath the surface.
The dancer appears caught between two worlds, her elegance and vulnerability set against the powerful presence of the black swan. As I painted, the two began to feel almost inseparable, as though the swan might be part of her, a shadow, a temptation, or something waiting to be revealed.
For me, the painting is about appearances, trust and those moments when what seems beautiful at first may conceal something entirely different.
