When I painted Illuminated Flight, I wanted to explore how dance feels like both strength and surrender. The blue tones gave me a way to show calmness in motion, as if she’s lifted into a dreamlike space. I imagine this piece bringing a sense of fluidity and quiet elegance into any room it’s placed in.
